What is Land Surveying?
Land Surveying is known as the second oldest
profession. Today land surveying still has the same primary
purpose, land boundaries.
To accomplish this task a
surveyor performs legal research, scientific measurements and
creates a map that expresses the Land Surveyors decision. The
decision is based on a set of surveying instructions published by
the Bureau of Land Management, as well as State Codified Law. The
content and interpolation of the laws may vary from state to state,
but the outcome must protect the land owners rights....and not only the client!
